Zoe Keefer

Zoe Keefer is a Program Manager, leading the growth and development of CCLF’s Early Words for Early Years Educators program. She believes that the foundation of a just, healthy, and thriving society lies in nurturing children and those who care for them during the vital early years.

Zoe has spent the last 20 years of her career focused on capacity building and community development. Before joining CCLF in 2020, Zoe oversaw the training and retention programs of volunteer-based Campfire Circle (formally Camp Oochigeas). At Right To Play Canada, Zoe was responsible for the capacity building of youth workers in indigenous communities. She credits some of her favourite authors; like Kit Pearson, Lemony Snicket and Lois Lowry, for the creativity and empathy that continue to drive her work.

Zoe holds a bachelor’s degree in political studies from Queen’s University, a certificate in adult learning from University of Toronto, and a certificate in leading professional teams from University of British Columbia. She loves being active, spending time outside and reading with her family – her two children can’t get enough of Sandra Boynten, Dr. Seuss and Julie Donaldson.
